Q. You have a 30 day and a 90 day System Warranty. Could you explain those and tell me what is covered and when do the warranty periods begin?
A. Your entire system is covered for 30 days. If anything goes wrong, and can’t be solved through TFG customer service, simply return your system in the box it was delivered in, and TFG will either repair or replace your system free of charge. We’ll even reimburse you for the shipping costs. If you don’t have a box, we can send you one with packing instructions. In this instance, an additional fee may apply.
Your system’s hardware is covered for 90 days. Hardware includes the Hard Drive, Disk Drives, Monitor, Keyboard, and Battery. Again, if anything goes wrong, and can’t be solved through TFG customer service, simply return your system and TFG will either repair or replace your system free of charge.
Q. My system is no longer covered by the TFG Warranty, and I don’t know what to do. Is there anywhere I can go for help?
A. Even though your system may not be covered under our warranty, we still want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you still have access to the internet, you can go to our PROBLEM SOLVER page. There, you’ll be able to find solutions to many common computer problems. If you don’t find your answers there, you can always email us or call us at 1-888-TECH-TFG to arrange for service or repair.
Q. Can I pick my purchase up and avoid Shipping and Handling costs?
A. Yes. We can arrange pickup or drop-off of your system if you live in the D.C. metro area. Email us prior to placing your order.
Q. There’s hardware and/or software I want installed on my system that I don’t see on the TFG site. What should I do?
A. Email or call us. Let us know what system you would like, any available options, and the special option you would like. We will then give you a price quote and date of availability that’s good for 24 hours.
Q. Are your computers new or used?
A. The systems we offer for sale have been previously used. Once we receive them, each and every system goes through a rigorous testing procedure. If any component fails testing, it is replaced with either a new component or stock we have in our inventory. It is then fully retested, and placed on our site for purchase only once it has passed every single test. We even make sure each system has the latest BIOS installed on it at the time of testing.
Q. Are the parts you have listed new or used?
A. We offer new and used parts for sale. Any previously used part is thoroughly tested before it is allowed to be offered for sale. Any part which is not brand new is listed as “refurbished”, and comes with a TFG Parts Warranty. All of our NEW parts come with the full manufacturer’s warranty.
Q. Where do your previously used parts come from?
A. We get our systems and parts from a variety of places…auctions, private parties, businesses, bulk sales, parting out sales, etc. We acquire our merchandise for the lowest possible price and pass the savings on to you.
